Today was a day unlike any other day of my life. In the 12 hours since I jumped out of a perfectly flying airplane at 18,000′ feet I’ve been thinking about how I describe the experience. A good friend of mine, Andy, sent me a link today from his hometown newspaper. While I’ve never met David Bryan or his parents, I feel for him and his family. Childhood cancer ‘gets to me’ the most because kids are so innocent and haven’t had a chance to ‘live their lives’. Don’t get me wrong, cancer stinks all around, but it’s especially tough when it’s a kid. To read about David click HERE.

Day 7 has been an interesting day! While the flights for this trip are booked they are subject to change at any time. During this journey I am using social media as a way to meet new people, find places to stay, things to do, etc… To date it has resulted in some pretty amazing opportunities and led to some really good introductions. This post is about 1 of those introductions. Patti Murillo-Casa is the friend of a friend of a lady who I met just prior to leaving Charlottesville.
